Overview
NextTrade launched in 2022 with a simple pitch: ECN pricing at a price point most traders can actually afford. Most raw-spread ECN brokers demand $200 or more just to open an account. NextTrade cut that barrier to $50. That alone gets your attention if you're a newer trader who doesn't want to risk a large deposit while you're still learning.
Dig deeper and the specs hold up. You get genuine 0.0 pip raw spreads on EUR/USD, $7 commission per round turn, and sub-12ms execution routed through a no-dealing-desk infrastructure. It's a lean operation — just MT5, no frills — but that focus seems to be what keeps execution tight. Regulated in Mauritius, which is offshore territory, so this isn't the broker for someone who needs FCA or ASIC-level protection.
Regulation & Safety
NextTrade holds an FSC Mauritius licence (No. GB25204563). Mauritius Financial Services Commission is a Tier-3 offshore regulator. That means it's legitimate — you're not dealing with a scam — but you don't get the investor compensation schemes or strict capital requirements you'd find with ASIC or FCA regulated brokers.
What you do get: client funds held in segregated accounts, negative balance protection (so you can't lose more than you deposit), and a regulated entity you can complain to if something goes wrong. For traders comfortable with offshore regulation, or who live in regions where Tier-1 brokers don't serve retail clients well, this is a reasonable trade-off.

Trading Costs
On a standard Raw ECN account, EUR/USD averages 0.0 pips. Commission is $7 per lot round turn ($3.50 each way). So on a 1-lot EUR/USD trade ($100,000 notional): $0 in spread + $7 in commission = $7 total. That's competitive — IC Markets and Pepperstone charge the same $7 per lot on their raw accounts. FP Markets is marginally cheaper at $6.
The Standard account charges wider spreads (typically 1.0–1.2 pips) with no commission — this works out more expensive for active traders. Stick to the Raw ECN if you're trading regularly.
Platforms
NextTrade is MT5 only. No MT4, no cTrader, no proprietary app. MT5 is the better platform of the two — it has more order types, more timeframes, a built-in economic calendar, and better EA/algo support. The absence of MT4 will be a dealbreaker for some, particularly those with existing MT4 Expert Advisors.
The MT5 environment on NextTrade runs cleanly. Execution is smooth, EAs work as expected, and the charting tools are solid. If you're starting fresh and aren't tied to MT4, you won't miss it here.
Execution Quality
NextTrade claims sub-12ms execution via a no-dealing-desk (NDD) model connected to Tier-1 liquidity providers. In practice, execution is fast and consistent. No requotes were observed during normal market hours. Spreads stay tight and don't widen excessively outside London/New York hours.
The NDD structure means the broker doesn't take the other side of your trades — they pass orders directly to liquidity providers. This eliminates a major conflict of interest common with market-maker brokers.
Deposits & Withdrawals
Minimum deposit is $50, which is the lowest raw ECN entry point in this comparison. Deposits are accepted via bank wire, credit/debit cards, and major e-wallets. Processing is typically same-day for cards and e-wallets, 1–3 business days for wire.
Withdrawals are processed to the same method used for deposit (standard fraud prevention). No withdrawal fees are charged by the broker, though your bank may charge a wire fee. Turnaround is 1–2 business days for cards, up to 3 for wires.
